These are cotton flannel baby sets. Which I have pre-stitched using a technique called Hemstitching and then hand crochet a lavish cotton edging on the blanket and burp clothes. I have also designed little beanies to match each set.
I coordinate the beanie embellishment with the fabric used for the blanket set. Here I've done what I'm calling 'modern circles'.
A close up of the hand crocheted edging. Before I crochet the edging, I hemstitch the sets by machine. This is a special stitching which evenly spaces the holes for crocheting and at the same time reinforces the holes made. Thus giving the edging a more uniform and polished look.
Lastly ...the packaging. I'm packaging the items in a see through cupcake box complete with a handmade vintage tag. All ready for gift giving! The sets without the little beanies are wrapped with a lavish tulle bow ...again, ready for that special baby!
