I've found a new knitting obsession!
(Yea!!!....like I really need another
obsessive project to work on!)
FINGERLESS GLOVES
Joelle Hoverson. You can find the book here
The book is full of wonderfully beautiful and quick projects.
I found the book quite by accident. Dear Daughter was coming to visit
over the holidays and I wanted something quick that I could knit up
to give to her on her arrival. I found this adorable pattern and knit her
up a pair in the most gorgeous BlueSky's Alpaca yarn.
Since then I just can't get enough of these little guys.
Here's the makings of a pair using a great self stripping yarn.
This yarn is Adriafil KnitCol Trends. Color Number 49.

Here's the small pile of DK weight yarn just waiting to be knit into little 'fingerless gloves'. ....everybody in the family has put in an order or two for these!
Making these, along with lots of other UFO's. I have vowed that I will get through most of my stash this year! I WILL NOT! I repeat WILL NOT buy anymore yarn!
Yea ...like that will actually happen!

SOPHIE UPDATE!
Little Miss Sophie is doing just great! She has adjusted to her new home and is full of fun! She has added so much to our family and to my heart. Since she arrived just a week ago ...her second ear has popped up! Isn't she just the cutiest little thing?

I think Sophie's ear popping up is a sign she's quite happy! She certainly is a lucky little dog to end up with you, she is going to have a great life! What a little cutie!
Love the gloves! And hey, maybe I'll try to quit buying scrapbook supplies in 2009, and instead use what I already have. You may have motivated me! :)
what a beautiful baby and she looks quiet comfy..
lovely gloves..
I'm glad she is better! I will look for the book...I wonder if it is easy enough for beginners! I can knit....but just barely! heehee!
Oooh, I would love some of those fingerless gloves for my daughter, do you think you will put any in your etsy shop?
I'm obsessed with the fingerless gloves too, but I haven't figured out to make one yet. Your Sophie is sooooo cute! I have a wee chi too.
Sophie is CUTE! And I love the gloves. The multi color are my fav. WISH I could knit!
I'm going to have to go to your Etsy shop and see if you have any of these fingerless gloves! Wish you had a "followers" on your blog... but I'll go mark you Etsy store as a favorite so I can find you! For the third time... so nice to meet you :-)

PS: And a big welcome to Sophie!
