ROAD TRIP - DAYS 5 & 6

What a great time we had in 'sunny' Southern California! Daughter dear and darling boyfriend showed us a grand time. They certainly pampered us during our stay! Darling boyfriend was able to secure four 'Anaheim Angels' baseball tickets. I'm not talking just regular tickets! We were treated to the 'Diamond Area'. You ask...'what's that?' Well, here are just a few photo's to explain....
Angel Stadium...the anticipation is rising...
Here are sweet hubby, darling boyfriend and daughter dear!
We enter the stadium at 'homeplate'...
Only to be greeted by this...an in-service restaurant!
An in-service bar area....
and....outdoor eating. Notice the white tablecloth's! I never new such an area existed at the ball park!
To add to the excitement...there's no need to go to the concession stands! There is in-seat service. A waiter comes to you, takes your order...and just like that your food is served! How's that for service...a 'chicken ceasar salad'! Does this look like baseball food?
Look how close we were...eleven rows from homeplate!

It was a fantastic day!

(Unfortunately, the Angels lost to the Mariners - 4 to 2!)

A few other photo's to share!

Darling daughter and sweet boyfriend!

Daddy and his girl!

An introduction to 'Golden Spoons'! This was utterly sinful...it's a combination of flavors! Cakebatter and peanutbutter cup! YUMMY!

This is one of the reasons we left Southern California! If any of you have ever visited you will surely remember the traffic! This photo was taken on a Sunday morning, driving into Orange County! Complete MADNESS!

WHAT A TRIP! But, I'm so glad to be going home! I'm just pooped!

Hi Alice, welcome back!! Looks like you have had a fabulous trip. Wow, you know, I've heard of the traffic in CA but never having been there, it is hard to imagine. That photo of yours though...wow, the traffic looks horrible. Glad your trip was fun, thanks for sharing the photos.

Awwww, I was missing California so much until I saw the traffic picture. Brings back hours and hours of frustration! But I did LOVE going to Angels games! NOTHING like some of the east coast stadiums I've been to. Glad you're all having such a wonderful time! Thank you for sharing it with us!

I'm not the biggest baseball fan but the few times I've gone I've loved it- all of the 'hoola'- food, smell, sounds. Now you must have just had the best time!!! (love a man in a uniform!)

Hi Alice,
I just found you through Kathy's Cottage. I recently moved from Orange County CA, to San Antonio TX and I miss it more than I thought I would. Seeing Angels Stadium made me home sick, until, as Laura said, I saw the picture of the traffic! However, we get traffic here too, just not so bad. Glad to hear you had a great time on my old turf.
